Refund and Returns Policy

1. Your Rights Under UK Law

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, all products must be:

  • Of satisfactory quality
  • Fit for purpose
  • As described

If your item does not meet these standards, you are entitled to a remedy.


2. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

Within 30 Days

You have the right to:

  • Reject the item and receive a full refund

After 30 Days (up to 6 months)

We may offer:

  • Repair, or
  • Replacement

If this is unsuccessful, you are entitled to a refund.


3. Change of Mind (In-Store Purchases)

We are not legally required to offer refunds for change of mind.

However, Thornbury Radio Shop may offer:

  • Exchange or store credit within 30 days
  • Item must be:
    • Unused
    • In original packaging
    • With proof of purchase

4. Online, Phone & Distance Sales

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to:

  • Cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it
  • Receive a full refund

Conditions:

  • Items must be returned within 14 days of cancellation
  • You may be responsible for return postage unless the item is faulty

Exceptions:

This right does not apply to:

  • Personalised or bespoke items
  • Sealed goods opened for hygiene reasons
  • Perishable goods

5. Refund Process

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method
  • We will process refunds within 14 days of receiving returned goods (or proof of return)

6. Proof of Purchase

A receipt or order confirmation is required for:

  • Refunds
  • Exchanges
  • Repairs

7. Returns Procedure

To return an item:

  2. Provide your order number or receipt

We recommend using a tracked service for returns.


8. Items Not Eligible for Return

We may refuse returns where:

  • Items are damaged due to misuse
  • Items are not in resalable condition (for change-of-mind returns)

9. Your Statutory Rights

This policy does not affect your legal rights under:

  • Consumer Rights Act 2015
  • Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013
